Castle Rock Lake

Half day trip with Glenn and Dave we went to Castle Rock today and jigged and trolled, we had plenty of shorts,snot rockets, sheeps,crappie and put back some perch,with some legals. Water temp was 70.3   They didn’t want any fish so I keep some for my wife to have a fish fry this week.

Back out on “the Rock” again today with a very nice mother and son’s team, who are spending some time at there lake home for a week!

Today we launched the boat just before 7 am and fished till noon. Water temperature was 65.5 in early morning and around 68 when we left the water. Today we jigged 1/4 oz Bfishntackle Draggin jigs tipped with half crawler in 10-14 fow over wood structure.

Camping and fishing at buckhorn for the first time this weekend. Any tips for walleye and bass on the yellow river side of lake? Anyone seen em on beds yet or still a little early?

We went to Castle Rock to try for crappies in the Little Yellow but not one. There are a lot of short walleyes though.

Water levels are within a few inches of average summer pool.
