Once upon a time there was a dam, granted not a nice dam, but it did hold back water.
Within this dams river, there were fish, BIG fish. Northern Pike and Walleye would annually migrate from Lake Koshgonong in Rock County to feed and spawn.
Then the WI DNR (Dept. of No Results) decided this dam was "unsafe", and the above was history.
However if any good became of this, it is a nice watershed as flocks of migrating birds make their plumage. The watershed provides sanctuary. So don't expect to fish or at least catch the once bountiful Northern and Walleye, but enjoy the beauty.
